Quarmbys winning formula with Lewis Hamilton
Quarmby Colour was commissioned by One17GC, a graphic and branding agency in Yorkshire, to produce a variety of printed display graphics for the 'Formula One in Schools' world championships in London.

Direct-to-substrate graphics produced for the event were printed using the new EFI Vutek flexible inks. Ranging from traditional external banners, banner stands, PVC panels to new Enviro X-board material used for podiums.

The fifth annual technology challenge was held in the Royal Horticultural Halls in London last week and was presented by reigning Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton.

Quarmby Colour has great success printing direct to OAK for Manchester United!
As part of  Manchester Uniteds projects to mark its centenary next year, Conrad Davies the commissioned designer chose Quarmby Colour to produce 16 wall montages for the corridors of the Centennial Club suites.

Each montage had a direct printed Oak panel for the backdrop and then 3mm p.v.c printed graphics were overlayed. The graphics portray a selection of interesting Manchester United facts and figures from the last one hundred years.

Rising to the challenge !
When Ken Brook Crispin the Chairman of Seabrook Crisps asked Quarmby the question " Can you produce large format printed Helium filled balloons to look like giant crisp packets "  the answer was " leave it with us ".

As you can see from the photo Quarmby came up with the goods in time for the Great Yorkshire Show this Summer. In total 16 balloons (one for each flavour of crisp made by Seabrooks) measuring 1 meter wide by 2 meter high were printed and produced by Quarmby.

They certainly made an impact, Seabrooks stand could be seen from all areas of the hall giving them maximum exposure.

Damned good print. Quarmby Colour is responsible for bringing the 70s back to life for The Damned United.
The film The Damned United is released to rave reviews.

The Damned United is based on the book of the same name, a fictional account of Brian Clough's time at Leeds, which lasted just six games back in 1974. Quarmby Colour was chosen to produce many of the retro graphics for the set to give the film its 70s authenticity when filmed last December.

The graphics varied from pitch banners, motorway, hotel, pub and car park signs on 3mm Dibond, to cut-vinyl Mitre logos for the footballs.

Cutting edge - Quarmby Colour takes delivery of the next generation Zünd G3 6m cutting table.
In 2005, Quarmby Colour was the first company in mainland Britain to take delivery of a 6m Zünd digital cutting table. Since this installation the Zünd has proved to be one of the most invaluable pieces of equipment that Quarmby Colour has purchased. With a continued amount of growth, it was necessary to install a second 6m cutting table. It made perfect sense to choose the next generation Zünd G3.

Along with increasing finishing output capacity, the Zünd G3’s new V-cut head technology now enables Quarmby Colour to work with new exciting materials such as X-board.

Working with new materials such as X-Board, has opened up new POS solutions, from furniture and merchandising units to bespoke environmentally-friendly coffins.
